There is a seating area with armchairs and a coffee table in the guest lounge/dining room, with a flat screen television, and a small radio/hifi, for the use of guests.
A drying room is available for wet weather clothing and walking boots (we would ask that you do not take muddy/wet outdoor clothing into the guest rooms).
Guests are also welcome to use the infra-red sauna in the summerhouse.
Tea is offered to all guests arriving between 4.00pm and 6.00pm. A selection of home-made cakes and refreshments is served in the garden if the weather is clement, or in the guest lounge/dining room if not.
Breakfast is served in the guest lounge/dining room. We offer home-made breads with conserves, a choice of cereals, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a delicious cooked full English breakfast. Guests may make their choice of sausages, bacon, black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms, and eggs (fried or scrambled). We also offer boiled or coddled eggs. Continental breakfasts either of croissants and pains au chocolat or of cheeses and cooked meats are available if preferred.
We are happy to supply packed lunches for walkers, or others who would prefer not to have to find a pub or restaurant for lunch. An extra charge is made for packed lunches.
We are experienced in providing for guests who have gluten-free and dairy-free requirements, and, given prior notice, we will endeavour to meet any guest’s special dietary needs.
We do not offer evening meals, but a selection of local pubs/restaurants (which should cater for most tastes) is listed below. We would suggest that you make a reservation, since many of those listed are very popular. By prior arrangement, for any guests arriving without a vehicle, we are happy to provide a lift to and from any of the pub/restaurants shown. Please discuss your requirement with us before booking your meal.
